Persimmon Counselling
Welcome, I’m Sharon Good, a counsellor based in Worcestershire.
I provide compassionate support for adults through loss, times of confusion, and all of life’s changes.
In-person sessions are available from my therapy rooms in Kidderminster and Bromsgrove.

My Services
Have you been feeling stuck, or like something’s “off” even if life looks fine on the outside?
Some of the reasons people come to see me include:
- Feeling stuck or uneasy without knowing why
- Grief, loss, and bereavement
- Going through life changes or transitions
- Anxiety, stress, or overwhelm
- Low self-esteem or self-worth
- Searching for a deeper sense of direction
Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place in Bromsgrove on Mondays and Thursdays or Kidderminster on Tuesdays. Online sessions may also be available if that suits you better.
To help you feel secure in your choice, I offer a free 20 minute introductory session over the phone, online or in person where we can see if we are a good fit. You’re very welcome to email me to arrange this. Fees are £50 per 50 minute session.

What to expect
One to one therapy offers you confidentiality to explore what is happening for you. Each person’s therapy is unique, but I normally follow the following process:
See, notice what’s affecting you.
Feel, make sense of your emotions and experiences.
Grow, discover ways to move toward the life you want.
Root, embed your insights and growth so they last.
Sometimes words aren’t enough, I also use creative techniques to help express and understand what’s going on for you in a safe, supportive way.

About Me
I became a counsellor because I believe life is meant to be lived fully not in fear or uncertainty. I’ve experienced times when I felt stuck, confused, and unsure which way to turn, so I understand how heavy that can feel.
My background in grief counselling has taught me that even in the darkest, most challenging moments, it’s possible to find insight, clarity, and transformation. I can help you move toward balance, meaning, and a greater sense of ease in your life.
Outside of work, I’m usually exploring Worcestershire’s green spaces, reading or hunting for that perfect cup of coffee!
My professional training includes :
- Level 2 & 3 CPCAB
- Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
- Level 5 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
- BSc Psychology with Biology

FAQ
Some common questions that are asked:
What is person-centred counselling?
This approach is based on the understanding that people have an inborn tendency toward personal growth, healing, and self-understanding, but that this can sometimes be blocked by difficult life experiences, low self-worth, or negative relationships.
The role of the counsellor is not to ‘fix’ you or tell you what to do, but to create a safe, supportive relationship where you can explore your feelings and experiences at your own pace.
You are able to discover a path that aligns with their own inner wisdom. Because this growth comes from within rather than being imposed by others, it is deeper, longer lasting, and more sustainable.
Is counselling just talking about feelings? How can that help me?
Therapy isn’t a quick fix, but a gradual process of understanding and growth. Real change takes time, patience, and commitment. Therapy can bring lasting benefits: greater self-acceptance, new ways of coping, and the freedom to live more fully.
If you’re still deciding, you’re welcome to try an introductory session so we can explore how working together might feel.
What to expect in the first session
The first session is a chance to get to know each other. I’ll explain how I work, including confidentiality and the person-centred approach, and invite you to share your experiences, expectations, or concerns. Together, we’ll look at how I can help.
How long do I need to be in therapy?
Each person is unique, so our work together may be short- or long-term depending on what you need.
We’ll have regular check-ins to reflect, review, and make sure the therapy is aligned with your goals.
Where do you work?
Sessions are available in Kidderminster on Tuesdays and Bromsgrove Mondays and Thursdays as well as online or by phone.
